A session on human trafficking and crimes against children kicked off today at the Public Security Officers Club. Held under the patronage of Director General of the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) Brigadier Abdulaziz Mayouf Al Romaihi, the event, which will continue till September 6, was launched in the presence of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Assistant Legal Attache Jason Todd. The session is held in cooperation between the Interior Ministry’s Training Directorate and Counter-Terrorism Joint Centre and the US’ FBI.
The session, in which 45 participants from the Interior Ministry, the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry and the Public Prosecution are taking part, aims to develop the participants’ skills in assisting the victims of human trafficking by conceptualizing the dimensions of the crime and ways of combating it as well as exchanging experience in this respect.
