Kataeb Party chief, MP Sami Gemayel, on Monday hoped that PM Saad Hariri would return swiftly to Beirut to put across his constitutional and political convictions from the Lebanese territories, rather than from any other place.
"We need a new settlement," MP Gemayel said on Monday during a press conference, stressing the dire need for a final structural solution to the political crisis and the way the country is being governed.
"We hope Hariri's talk about settlement would pose a structural solution," Gemayel said, expressing full readiness to demonstrate positivity to the maximum extent.
"We are not saying that we want to disarm Hezbollah tomorrow... But we must devise a roadmap for hand over weapons and restoring the state's sovereignty," the Lawmaker said, underlining that priority should be accorded to the Lebanese dossier.
He also hoped that utmost priority would be accorded to seeking means of building a robust state, underscoring the paramount importance of sovereignty and the right of people to determine their fate
