The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, will launch seven new bus routes, including two metro link bus routes, and improving 24 other routes in Dubai from 26th September.

"RTA is opting for broadening and improving the public bus network in a quick response to the needs of public bus riders. The move is also prompted by the ongoing urbanisation and business development in Dubai as part of the upswing seen by the UAE in various fields. It also stems from RTA’s relentless efforts to bring happiness to bus riders through making the public transport mobility experience more enjoyable," Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, Director of Planning and Business Development, Public Transport Agency, RTA, said.

"Seven new routes will be opened to serve metro and bus riders including two metro station link bus service, namely Route F19A and F19B. These two routes will serve the Business Bay district and pass through several hotspots in the area. The service will be running at a 10-minute interval (headway) on all weekdays except for Friday," he added.

The new Routes include Route 25 serving Al Qusais Industrial and Airport Terminal 2 via Damascus Street at 20-minute intervals. They also include Route 95 from Gold Souq Bus Station to Dubai Waterfront at Jebel Ali via Sheikh Khalifa Street and Al Jafiliya M/S. It passes through Sheikh Zayed Road, Ibn Battuta MS, Jebel Ali Industrial before terminating at Jebel Ali Waterfront. The service, which will also be available on Friday, runs at 60-minute intervals to meet the mobility needs of customers in those areas.

The new service includes Express Route X02 from Al Ghubaiba Station to Satwa and back to Al Ghubaiba at 15-minute intervals. The Express Route X22 will serve Al Qusais Industrial and Al Nahda, and from there it heads to the Business Bay MS, Dubai Mall and the Business Bay District. The service will be running from Saturday to Thursday only at 30-minute intervals. The Express Route X24 will start from Al Nahda 1 Station to the Union MS via Salah Uddin Street. The service will be running at 15-minute intervals from Sunday to Thursday and at 20-minute intervals on Saturday. The service will not be available on Friday.

24 Routes have been improved as follows: Route 61: The service will start from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, pass through Ras Al Khor Industrial and up to the parking of Samari Residences Hotel. Route A64: The service will start from Gold Souq Bus Station, pass through Ras Al Khor Industrial and up to the parking Samari Residences Hotel. Route 99: The service will reach UAE Exchange M/S, pass through the Control Tower and Jebel Ali Bus Station. Route F44: The service will start from Ibn Battuta M/S and head towards Energy Metro Station via Jebel Ali Parks and Al Muntazah Complex nearby Jebel Ali Village. Route J01.

Route 8: A stop has been added at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort. Routes F23, 24 and 22 Stops added at Al Nahda 1 and Al Rida Mosque. Routes D03 and DO3A. Route F07: Tunis Street stop has been added. Route: F54: New stops added at JAFZA, ENOC Petrol Station, NAFFCO, and the Clock Tower Roundabout at Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority. Route X28: Stop added at Rashid bin Bakheet Mosque, Jumeirah Street. Route E16: Stop added at Wadi Al shabak, Al Awir.

Routes F03, C28, 10, 13, and 64 have been revised and the service will no longer stop at Naif Police Station Stop. The paths of Routes C01, C19, F14, and F41 have been revised.

Route 300 serving the International City area has been abolished and the public can use the alternative Routes: 365, 366 and 367 serving the same area. Route F19 has been replaced by F19A and F19B. The public can use the new Route 25 instead of F27.
