Under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Council of Representatives in collaboration with the International Institute for Peace will organize a parliamentary conference to mark the annual anniversary of the National Action Charter titled "National Action Charter: Prospects, sustainable development and peace".

Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla welcomed the royal patronage of the event that recalls a historic national stage of Bahrain, when Bahrainis gathered around the royal leadership towards achieving advancement, progress and prosperity.
He said the Council of Representatives is one of the outcomes of the National Action Charter and the reforms launched by HM the King. He noted the parliament’s efforts to set out activities and programmes aimed at promoting democracy as highlighted by the royal reforms.
The conference will attract leading figures who took part in formulating the National Action Charter, in addition to a number of speakers from abroad.
