Mohammed Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Director of the Office of Education Affairs in the Office of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has reiterated that the International Teachers' Forum, ‘Qudwa 2017’, which begins on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, will contribute to achieving the national vision of the state by empowering teachers with the best experiences and motivate them to develop their own experiences to suit the national aspiration.

The forum, under the sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will run for two days.

In an interview with the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Mr. Al Nuaimi said that the development of the education system in the UAE was one of the main pillars of the UAE Vision 2021 and Abu Dhabi 2030. Education is the core of a sustainable economy, positive social culture, and the essence of development and progress.

In the coming years, he continued, there will be an unprecedented development in the education system, which will aim to make the UAE students among the best in the world in knowledge, reading skills, mathematics and science, he stressed.

He noted that the national agenda aimed to ensure that all schools are distinguished by qualified leaders and teachers, in accordance with the best standards, explaining that the UAE Vision 2021 had developed many indicators to measure the progress and development of the education sector.

"Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 is based on providing all the necessary factors for building a sustainable economy and a stable society, with education, human competency development and science qualification being the key tools to implement this vision," he said.

Al Nuaimi remarked that Qudwa 2017 presented a progressive forward-looking vision for the future of education and aimed to develop perceptions, achieving a cultural and scientific leap, as well as global harmony among teachers in the educational field, to build the new generations.

The institutions participating in the forum, which is being held under the theme of 'Education for the Future', have more than 900 teachers in attendance, including 739 from the UAE.

He pointed out that 80 countries were participating in the forum, including the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Singapore, France, South Africa, Uganda, India, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt, among many others.
