Visiting Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed Thursday latest Arab and regional developments with Field Marshal Mohammad Hussein Tantawi, Head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, de jure and de facto ruler of Egypt. The meeting tackled ways of boosting Egyptian-Qatari ties through a number of economic and development joint ventures aiming at subsidizing the Egyptian economy, and opening up new horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement made by the official Middle East News Agency (MENA). Qatari Crown Prince, along with his accompanying delegation, also asserted the keenness of his country on further promoting cooperation between the two countries in various fields under the distinctive ties between them The meeting was attended by Lt. Gen. Sami Anan, Deputy Head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, Minister of Finance Dr. Samir Radwan, and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hussein Al-Atfy, along with a number of the members of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, and the Qatari ambassador in Cairo. Qatari Crown Prince arrived in Cairo earlier today in a one-day visit to Egypt.
