President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir  received an official invitation  from his Lebanese counterpart ,Michel Aoun to take part in   the Arab Economic and Social  Development Summit scheduled to take place in capital  of Lebanon, Beirut, 19-20 of coming January.

 The invitation  was extended  to the President at the Guest House , Sunday   by  Special  Envoy of the Lebanese President, Nicolas Tueni who said in  press statements  following that the meeting that he handed over a written  message  from President Michel Aoun to President Al-Bashir to attend  the Summit.

 He said that President Al-Bashir affirmed  to him Sudan keenness  to cement  relations with Lebanon  and that he will respond  the invitation  and that President Al-Bashir  indicated  to importance of strengthening  of bilateral relations, particularly in economic  and  development cooperation.

The Lebanese presidential envoy  added  that President Al-Bashir  pointed out to great roles played  by Lebanese  over history  in Sudan  and in various domains.

 He said that  the meeting tackled  situation in Lebanon, relations between the two countries,  Arab issues and  implementation of Arab food project, where, he added, President Al-Bashir stressed importance of opening borders  before  5the Arab products  and   people.
