In collaboration with the Institut Francais in the UAE, and CEFAS, the French Centre for Archaeology and Social Sciences in Kuwait, Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is launching seven talks as part of the new annual series "Sorbonne Talking" over the course of the academic year 2017/2018.
Three talks will take place during the first semester and four will be organised in the second. Experts from local and French institutions will tackle a variety of contemporary topics in the fields of sciences, geography, history, sociology, philosophy, law, archeology and history of art and performing arts.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yann Rodier, Head of History Department and Assistant Professor at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, said, "The Sorbonne Talking Series cycle strengthens the academic and cultural position of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi in the UAE and the region as it offers a new framework for the academic events that the university organises. In connection with contemporary topics, we will tackle a wide range of stimulating themes in the presence of specialist and guest speakers."
