Muscat - Arabstoday

The Royal Oman police recently foiled an attempt to distribute smuggled heroin worth 30,000 Omani riyals and arrested two Pakistani nationals, according to a press release by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Wednesday. The Directorate of Narcotics Control was tipped off that narcotics were being smuggled into Oman via sea route on the northern side of the country. The police, after a thorough investigation, caught H.C.Pathan and M. A. Khan red handed while distributing heroin capsules inside a mosque in Hamriya area. "The investigation team had found out the time and place of delivery of the drugs and raided the place as the two accused were coming out of the mosque with 102 capsules of heroin," a spokesperson for the police said.
