Minister of Local Development Ahmed Zaki Badr on Tuesday said at a parliamentary session that the government has not so far decided to increase public transportation fare prices.
The minister's remarks were made in response to a question by a lawmaker, who is a member of the parliamentary local administration committee, on the prices of trains and other public transportation fare.
Badr made it clear that all executive and local bodies have received directives to prevent any increase in the fare prices. He urged citizens to report any violation on this score.
