Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Day celebration on December 16-17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 46th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member, the 18th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne and the third anniversary of Martyr's Day.

On this occasion, Shaikh Rashid praised the qualitative achievements in all fields and at all levels witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.

He also praised the achievements of the comprehensive reform project from the consolidation of the rule of law and institutions, the promotion of the democratic process and freedoms, women empowerment, and attaining high and advanced human development levels.

The Bahraini Ambassador in Egypt expressed his happiness at the development of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt as a distinctive model to emulate the strong relations between the brotherly countries in all fields.

He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, renews its solid position with Egypt in its efforts to combat terrorism, safeguard its security and stability, and pursue economic reform as a pillar of regional security and stability.

He also added that Egypt is considered a strong supporter of all Arabs, praising the honorable positions of Egypt towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and the security of the Gulf region, stressing that Bahrain and Egypt constitute a strong asset in meeting the region-wide challenges.

As part of the national day celebrations, Ambassador Rashid announced the launch of an "interactive platform" for news, events and joint projects between the two countries, supported by pictures, on the website of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Egypt, which will be updated on a regular basis. This is to ease the people's access through media in order to encourage every follower and researcher to identify the tracks of the development of bilateral relations in various fields.

Shaikh Rashid expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of Egypt for their participation in the celebrations of the Kingdom of Bahrain's National Day and wished the two brotherly countries more progress and prosperity under their wise leadership.
