His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday patronized an Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans (ESARSV) ceremony marking the national Veterans Day. In remarks during the ceremony, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour expressed thanks and appreciation for His Majesty for designating a day for retired servicemen and veterans in recognition of their services. He also highlighted sacrifices of this group for the nation's causes and for Jordan's security and stability, pointing to the attention and care given by His Majesty to the ESARSV. Last year, King Abdullah directed the government designate February 15 as a national Veterans Day in recognition of the services of retired military personnel.
