Jordan is working to secure aid to Syrian refugees who have fled the unrest in Syria to reside in Jordan, Jordan's Minister for Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan said Tuesday in a press statement. There have been arrangements with various international humanitarian organisations to meet their requirements including health and educational needs, he added. He noted that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will soon release an inclusive study, defining the needs of the refugees, which would in turn facilitate the task for parties offering donations to them. The UNHCR, recently, estimated a number of 120,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan. e text
