A ''Hymns of War and Peace'' exhibition by Iraqi sculptor and painter Muatasim Al Koubaisy opened at the Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai in attendance of Abdul Gaffar Hussain and Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mutawa, members of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Abdul Hamid Ahmad, the Foundation's Secretary General.
A group of painters and sculptors were also present in the opening ceremony.
Al Koubaisy’s equestrian sculptures allow the figure of the horse to emerge as a symbol of refinement and sophistication, demonstrative of the ability to foster physical prowess, grace, and potency through breeding, patience, and care.
His bronze horse statues or paintings are the highlight of the event.
His equestrian works have appeared in private collections across the UAE and have been exhibited widely in Baghdad, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Paris.
The Iraqi visual artist was born in 1968 and graduated from the Fine Arts Academy - University of Baghdad - in 1992.
