HE the Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim conferred here on Monday with his Tunisian Justice counterpart Noureddine B’hiri and his accompanying delegation who are currently visiting Qatar . They discussed means of boosting ties of joint cooperation in the various legal and judicial fields. In a press statement to reporters following the meeting , HE Al Ghanim said his country is completely ready to enhance ties of cooperation with sisterly Tunisia in the legal fields lauding the qualitative leap the bilateral relations have witnessed at the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani especially after his visit to Tunisia marking the first anniversary of the revolution on Jan.14th. ”Ther visit of the Tunisian minister to his second homeland , Qatar, comes in reply to a special invitation from the Ministry of Justice with a view to ushuring wider scopes of cooperation between the two ministries in the two countries and further enhance relations in the legal affairs especially as there are agreements and memors for cooperation and for legal and judicial understanding which were signed between Qatar and Tunisia in the past period and we are seeking to further develop and mek them more effective”, HE the Justice Minister told reporters. A delegation representing Qatar’s Justice Ministry would visit Tunisia shortly for talks on cementing scopes of cooperation between the legal and judicial studies centre at the Qatari Ministry and the legal studies centre in Tunisia. In response to a question on the legal and legislative structure of the State of Qatar under hosting of the Thirteenth Conference of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIII) now in session in Doha, HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim said the international confidence which Qatar has acquired for hosting such a global conference was the result of an integrated efforts which foundations were laid by HH the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin khalifa al thani and HH the heir apparent sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. HE the minister explained however that the first blocks of this effort is to build the state of institutions and the state of law by which Qatar has won the highest arab and internartional ranks as far as transparency and the rule of law are concerned. ”The UNCTAD Conference in Doha sends a global message that position of Qatar in support of the right of peoples to freedom, development and to live in dignity, has not come from vacuum , ” said HE Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim in his statement to reporters. For his part, the Tunisian Minister of Justice highly praised the distinguished relations between Qatar and Tunisia ,stressing the due keenness of the two Ministries of Justice to strengthen cooperation between them as an embodiment in line with the instructions of HH the Emir of Qatar and the Tunisian government. HE Noureddine B’hiri referred to prospects for cooperation between the two countries are promising, especially in light of the distinct relations pointing out that his meeting with HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim was positive and open broad areas of judicial cooperation
