Hamas approves Egypt's overtures on holding general elections
Cairo - MENA
Hamas responded positively to the Egyptian efforts by approving the formation of a national unity government and holding general elections.
Hamas said Egypt is keen on maintaining the Palestinian national unity, hailing the efforts exerted by the Egyptian General Intelligence Service.
Hamas announced dissolving the Gaza Strip administrative committee, urging the government to come to the enclave to carry out its missions and approving holding general elections.
Hamas consented Egypt's call for a dialogue with Fatah on the mechanisms of implementing the 2011 Cairo agreement and the formation of a new national unity government with the participation of all Palestinian factions.
