Egyptian security services said on Saturday that a man from Gaza was responsible for shooting dead an Egyptian after sneaking through the border. Salem Talaq, 62, was killed earlier Saturday after he was shot four times in his home in the Al-Sarsouriya neighborhood, near the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. Talaq, an employee at the education administration in Rafah, died on the way to hospital from bullet wounds to the chest, thigh and right arm, officials told Ma'an. They said Egyptian authorities had called on the Gaza government to apprehend the suspected killer, who they believe returned to the Gaza Strip shortly after shooting Talaq. Officials said they believe the crime was motivated by revenge, with elaborating.
