Four strategic-level government agencies, Smart Dubai, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Sports Council, and Supreme Legislative Committee have relocated their offices to Dubai Design District, d3, the region’s first destination dedicated to design.

Commenting on the move, Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, CEO of d3, said, "We are pleased to welcome Smart Dubai, Dubai Culture, Dubai Sports Council, and Supreme Legislative Committee to our ever-growing community. Their arrival cements the position of d3 as a cultural and strategic hub for government initiatives supporting Dubai Plan 2021. These entities play a critical part in establishing Dubai as a vibrant and dynamic city that shapes culture, arts and innovation on a regional and global level."

Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director-General of Dubai Culture, said that by moving their headquarters to d3, they are taking another step towards fulfilling their integrated vision for Dubai. In alignment with Dubai Plan 2021, this involves creating a focal point for the emirate’s culture and arts sectors that will support a city of happy, creative and empowered people who proudly celebrate their cultural identities. He added that they look forward to becoming part of d3’s thriving community and working in partnership with other entities to strengthen Dubai’s cultural and creative fabric.

"Dubai Design District offers an inspiring environment that complements Smart Dubai’s focus on driving a culture of innovation and creativity. As a strategic hub for Dubai’s creative and entrepreneurial talent, d3 is today home to enterprises that play a key role in shaping the future of our city. Through our move to d3, we have become closer to the growing entrepreneurial community of Dubai, and hope to encourage the next generation of talents to become active participants in our mission to achieve the goals of Dubai Plan 2021, establishing Dubai as a smart, integrated and connected city that fosters the happiness of the community," Dr. Aisha bint Butti bin Bishr, Director-General of the Smart Dubai Office, said.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, added, "The council always strives to provide its employees with a stimulating, yet comfortable, work environment where they can thrive. We have the same approach as our leadership; we put our people first. This is what we have done at the council by moving our headquarters to d3."

D3 is a dynamic and inspiring environment, and the epicentre of the creative sector in Dubai, as the council's team remains fuelled by its innovative energy, he concluded.
