The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry today honoured 14 companies for their corporate social responsibility, CSR, and sustainability efforts during a ceremony held at its premises.
The Dubai Chamber CSR Label was presented to Emirates Gas for the seventh time, Alpen Capital (ME) Limited for the sixth time, while Six Construct, and Union Cooperative earned the label for the fifth time.
The HORECA Trade received the label for the fourth time, and TIME Hotels was honoured for the third time. ASGC Construction L.L.C., Centena Group, Dulsco, RSA Logistics, and Dar Al Tawreeq were awarded the label for the second time, while Al Tayer Insignia, NMC Hospital – Dubai Investment Park, and Xpress Money were recognised for the first time.
Congratulating the honourees for their achievements, Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, explained the importance of the CSR Label as a symbol of recognition and inspiration, in addition to an effective development tool that has enabled so many companies to improve their CSR and sustainability strategies.
Al Ghurair said, "We are very encouraged by the growing number of honourees that we meet each time we host this ceremony, as it demonstrates the label’s ability to encourage others in the business community to adopt responsible practices."
The honourees lauded the role of Dubai Chamber in providing them with a framework to boost their CSR performance, and an opportunity to enhance their reputation as leaders in achieving sustainability.
