The Doncaster Racecourse in the United Kingdom, UK, will host the sixth card of the 24th President of the UAE Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses on Saturday, 16th September, 2017.
The 2,000 metre Group 1 race is exclusively for four-year-old purebred Arabian horses, with eight ridders competing for cash prizes worth ?80,000.
Faisal Al Rahmani, General-Secretary of the President of the UAE Cup Series, said, "We are confident that the President’s Cup, a Group 1 race for purebred Arabian horses, will prove to be an outstanding contest, on a major date for British racing."
Established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nayhan to promote and celebrate the Arabian horse, the President of the UAE Cup Series was the first international race series for purebred Arabian horses. Today, it is still the premier racing series for the breed.
The 24th Cup will stage races in eight premier racecourses in the United States, US, and major European capitals.
The UAE is a major supporter of its mission to highlight the culture and heritage of the Arabian Peninsula, through its prized purebred Arabian horses.
The Emirates Equestrian Federation launched the President of the UAE Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses in 1994, to promote the noble breed globally. It has now grown in popularity and appeal.
The series promotes the UAE's efforts to build awareness about purebred Arabian horses globally, and its significant place in the UAE’s culture and history.
