Dubai - Arab Today

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, is getting ready to participate at GITEX Technology Week 2017, which will take place from 8th-12th October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

DEWA will have its own stand, S2-D1, and will be also part of the Dubai Smart Government pavilion, the technology arm of the Smart Dubai initiative, to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world.

DEWA is set to show its latest technical achievements and its smart and innovative services and initiatives to improve customers’ experience and achieve their happiness.

DEWA has launched a campaign to encourage customers to use its smart and innovative services, offering them the opportunity to win daily and grand prizes totalling AED400,000.

Customers who have conducted at least one smart transaction between the beginning of January and the end of September 2017 will enter a draw to win 25 prizes during GITEX. Customers who used DEWA’s smart app and website, Dubai Smart Government’s smart payment channels (such as mobile payment, mPay, and DubaiNow app, Etisalat payment machines, Emirates NBD cheque deposit machines, or bank smart services), will qualify to enter the draw.

Customers who use the Auto Payment feature between September and December 2017 via DEWA’s smart app and the DubaiNow app, will qualify to enter the draw to win 20 grand prizes.

"Our participation at GITEX is part of our efforts to introduce DEWA’s smart services and initiatives that make the lives of our customers easier, in accordance with the directives of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to make customers happier by making government services available round the clock. We also work to fulfil the vision of His Highness that a successful government is one that goes to the people and does not wait for them to come to it. We are working to achieve this vision by anticipating the future and adopting state-of-the-art technological systems that contribute to meeting the aspirations of our wise leadership to enhance innovation and creativity as two major pillars of a successful future," said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
