Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdellaatif Derian said that "targeting the Saudi capital Riyadh with a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis from Yemen is a condemned and unacceptable act."
"The security, safety and stability of Saudi Arabia are a red line that should not be crossed. What has happened is a criminal aggression that cannot be ignored. There must be a final end to this infringement on the inviolability of the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," he said.
The Mufti received this Wednesday at Dar El Fatwa MP Wael Abu Faour who underlined Derian's wisdom and his "great national role."
"We held a round of discussions of internal affairs, and listened to the Mufti's recommendation to us, as well as to all Lebanese, to preserve stability, national unity and understanding among the Lebanese for the good of the entire nation," Abou Faour said.
In response to a question, he said "I hope that we have surpassed a very dangerous stage. We certainly need additional steps, on the economic and political levels, so as to anchor the stability which we are living in.
"Compared to many of the past periods, the situation is reassuring and needs more work and government and national efforts to boost stability," he said
