Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, which is committed to assisting all vulnerable segments of society, had presented gifts to children admitted at the Saqr Hospital in Ras al-Khaimah during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
The annual visit, its fifth in a row, is part of the ‘Eid Joy’ community project of DABS, according to Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Manager of DABS in Ras al-Khaimah.
"The scheme, which is in line with the advice of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, aims to put a smile on the faces of sick young children, who were compelled to stay in the hospital during the feast," Al Shehi said.
The 24 boys and girls who received visitors were extremely happy with the gifts, he added. "We want to tell those children and their families that we care, and we do want to ease their suffering and bring them happiness," he continued.
The initiative was planned by Abdullatif Al Sharif, Deputy Manager of DABS in Ras al-Khaimah, along with Mahdi Mohamed, Head of the Community Happiness Section, and Nadia Al Awadhi, as well as social workers and staff at the hospital.
Al Sharif paid tribute to the staff of Saqr Hospital for their cooperation and dedication, ensuring the success of the ‘Eid Joy’ project.
"Dar Al Ber spares no efforts to implement whatever charity projects are needed for the benefit of society, particularly for low-income families," Al Sharif said
