House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday afternoon met at Ein Tineh residence with the head of the Democratic Party, Minister of the Displaced, Talal Arslan, with talks reportedly touching on the current situation.
On emerging, Minister Arslan said that he congratulated the Speaker and all the Lebanese on the great victory achieved by the heroic Lebanese army in coordination with the national resistance that led to the liberation of every iota of the Lebanese soil from the Takfiri forces.
In reply to a question about some statements claiming that the victory was incomplete, Arslan stressed it was shameful to disagree over the blood of the Lebanese and their immense sacrifices for the liberation of the Lebanese soil.
"Such utterances are shameful.. We can disagree over political matters but this issue [victory] in particular should be amongst the red lines that everyone should honor in respect of every family of a martyr who sacrificed his life in fighting terrorism," he stressed.
On the other hand, Berri met with the Maronite Archbishop of Beirut, Metropolitan Boulos Matar
