The Acting General Director of Civil Defence has announced that civil defence has managed to put out a fire in a house in Hamad Town on Monday afternoon. He said that the teams reached in a remarkable period to the scene and rescued a girl who was trapped in the fire by taking her out from the house through a window in the first floor. The teams fought the fire and prevented its spreading to other rooms and nearby houses. He said that the mother of the girl fainted and was taken to hospital, while several sections of the house were damaged because of the smoke and heat. The initial investigation revealed that the fire was because of leaving the iron on for long period.
