Bahrain affirms support to Palestine.
Istanbul - Arab Today

Bahrain reiterated unwavering support to the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, within the borders dating back to the 4th of June 1967, with Al-Quds as its capital.

Bahrain backed the Palestinian people’s right of return, based on the two-state solution, the international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, urging the international community to compel Israel to implement the UN resolutions, end its occupation of the Palestinian and Arab territories.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa voiced Bahrain’s principled stance as he took part in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Emergency Summit, held in Istanbul under the theme ""Unified Action in Solidarity with Al-Quds".
The summit was held in Istanbul, in the presence of Turkish President Recept Tayyip Erdogan, Incumbent Chairman of the 13th OIC session, alongside other heads of states and ministers.
Shaikh Khalid voiced Bahrain’s concern of the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the relocation of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Al-Quds.
Addressing the summit, he said that the US decision would take its toll on peace, security and stability in the Middle East and the whole world, adding that the US would not compromise the Palestinians’ inalienable rights in Jerusalem and other occupied territories. The minister thanked President Erdogan, OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen and other officials, hailing their dedicated efforts to organize the emergency summit.
