The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, will take part in high level meetings due to be held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA, in New York.
Arab league spokesman, Mahmoud Afifi, said that Mr. Aboul-Gheit will join meetings that will discuss issues of importance to the Arab League's members, including political and economic development priorities and Libya, as well as a ministerial meeting on Syria and Iraq that will be organised by the European Union and a meeting on finances to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, UNRWA.
