The Arab League has reiterated its ongoing support of Kuwaiti mediation aimed at ending the dispute between four Arab countries and Qatar.
"This matter has not been discussed inside the Arab League, neither at the level of representatives or ministers," Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abulgheit said in remarks Wednesday at Cairo's Nasser Military Academy, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The Arab League's only focus has been on support of the efforts of Kuwaiti Amir HH Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, he said, expressing the organisation's hope for a breakthrough on the stalemate.
"Qatar is an Arab League member with full responsibilities, duties and rights," said Abulgheit, who underlined that the Arab League maintains its neutrality regarding the affair, KUNA reported.
