The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has organised a diverse programme of cultural, artistic and educational activities at Al Qattara Arts Centre.
The series of events are being presented in partnership with the fourth edition of the Traditional Handicrafts Festival, currently underway under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Al Ain Region.
The array of activities includes a series of artistic and cultural workshops aimed at families and tourists, and will be hosted over two morning and evening sessions. These include the "Al Qattara Heritage Studio", allowing visitors to take pictures of traditional Emirati clothing made using traditional materials, and the "Angham Al Oud" workshop, hosted by the centre's artists to teach participants about the traditional music of UAE's most famous local songs.
The "Comic Craze" exhibition will continue at Al Qattara Arts Centre until November 13th, which celebrates the world of comics through various media.
Al Qattara Art Centre also organises field trips and educational tours for school students to help them explore the festival's programme of activities, and familiarise them with the diverse range of activities hosted at Souq Al Qattara and the centre.
