About 3.77 million citizens across the nation have signed “Alashan Tabneeha” (To Build It) petition calling on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to run for a second presidential term.

In a press conference held on Sunday, Ahmed El Khatib, the coordinator of “Alashan Tabneeha” campaign said that the number of signatories to the petition hit 3.77,300 after excluding 189.65 incorrect signatures. 

The great number of the petition’s signatories shows the enormous popularity that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi enjoys despite various challenges facing the country, he added.
