Arsène Wenger says Arsenal are "still in the driving seat" for a top-three finish - but he thinks they need at least two wins from their final three games to make sure. The Frenchman has seen his team drop five points in their last two matches following a defeat to Wigan and Saturday's 0-0 draw with. But Arsenal have extended their lead over Tottenham to six points after their local rivals lost at Queens Park Rangers. Newcastle climbed to fourth and closed the gap to three points with an emphatic win over Stoke City - Arsenal's next opponents. Like Spurs, Newcastle have a game in hand on the Gunners and Wenger knows that his players must rediscover their winning touch. "We will see at the end of the season [whether Saturday was a missed opportunity]," said the Frenchman. "We are still in the driving seat, no matter what happens. "It will depend on the results we make now. We have difficult games - we go to Stoke, to West Brom, not easy places, and we play Norwich at home. At least two of the next three we need to win." Arsenal played "with the handbrake" against Chelsea, according to Wenger. But they were also stifled by the visitors' decision to deploy counter-attacking tactics in preparation for their Champions League trip to Barcelona. "I think it worked for them [in the first leg] on Wednesday night so they thought 'OK, Arsenal is a bit similar'," said Wenger. "We play the same system and that's why [they did it]. "I can understand that because Kalou is quick, they have Sturridge who can score on the counter-attack, they have Torres who is quick - they have three quick players up front. I expected that a little bit and that's why I decided to play Gibbs because Gibbs is quite quick against Kalou or Sturridge. Overall defensively we were solid."
