Marcelo: We must stay calm

But despite their lead over Barcelona at the top of the Liga standings having been cut to just six points, Marcelo knows his side cannot dwell on their disappointment for too long. "I think any team would like to have a six-point lead. We must be calm," the Brazilian left-back told La Sexta. "Tonight was a tough match but we're fine. We did not get the victory but the team spirit is good." Real Sociedad are 7/1 to hold Real Madrid to a third successive draw on Saturday. Madrid boss Jose Mourinho was enraged by the decision to award the free kick and was subsequently sent to the stands by referee Jose Paradas Romero, while Sergio Ramos and Mesut Ozil were also dismissed for second bookable offences in the dying minutes - much to the frustration of Marcelo. "We are getting on with our work but sometimes referees go against us," he said. "We will have to keep on working. "We have to improve in a lot of things. Tonight we conceded another goal from a set-piece but we're still in front and we'll keep working." After back-to-back draws in La Liga, Madrid will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Real Sociedad on Saturday evening, while Barcelona visit Mallorca.
