Robbie Fowler today paid tribute to the 'outstanding' Luis Suarez - and admitted he would have relished linking up with the Uruguayan during his time at Anfield. The man known as 'God' to Liverpool supporters has been impressed with the form of the Reds' No.7 and his ability to not only score goals, but also carve open defences and create chances for his teammates. Fowler told Liverpoolfc.tv: "Luis has been fantastic since he joined the club - his all-round game has been outstanding. "He's been a breath of fresh air and caused defences all sorts of problems. He can be very satisfied with how he's played overall this season." On how he would have felt lining up alongside Suarez during his 369 appearances for Liverpool, Fowler added: "For me as a goalscoring player, you always want players around you who can create. "In the games I've seen this season, Luis has created a lot of chances. As a player, I would thrive on playing with someone like him. "For goalscorers, those type of players are great to play with." Suarez was on target for Liverpool during last Saturday's FA Cup semi-final victory over Everton at Wembley. The 25-year-old's fellow strike partner Andy Carroll also found the back of the net with a late header to send the Reds into next month's final against Chelsea. Fowler has been impressed with their partnership and believes they can continue to go from strength to strength as a pairing. "I think they've been tremendous in the last few games and they've worked well together," he said. "They have looked a real threat. "They were brilliant in the semi-final against Everton, both of them scored and I don't think you could have scripted that any better. "It was a fantastic game for the two of them. They've scored a few goals together as a partnership recently and let's hope as supporters they can continue to go on and on." Suarez and Carroll will be hoping to help Liverpool to a third consecutive victory on Sunday when West Bromwich Albion visit Anfield. It's one of three matches the Reds will contest before the FA Cup final on May 5, and Fowler believes players will be eager to impress Kenny Dalglish ahead of the Wembley showpiece. He said: "At the start of the season, we all wanted to finish as high up in the league as possible and it's still important we go into every league game from now until the end of the season, try and get as many points as possible and finish as high as we can. "I know it's a bit of a cliché in football, but every game is vitally important now, especially with the Cup final coming up. "Players will want to play well and impress to try and get a place in the Cup final. "Let's hope they go out tomorrow against West Brom and get a great win and another morale boost to add to the ones we've had of late."
