London - Arabstoday

Roberto Di Matteo will send his team out onto the Camp Nou pitch with the instruction to score, the interim first team coach has said on the eve of the semi-final second leg. A 0-0 draw would send the Blues into our second Champions League Final courtesy of Didier Drogba's goal last Wednesday, but playing for a goalless outcome would be too dangerous a game against famously prolific opponents. 'Ultimately Barcelona will create chances against any team and we will have to try to score a goal,' said Di Matteo, 'but we will also try to limit the chances they create against us. 'It is too difficult to play for a goalless draw. To score would give us a greater advantage but we all know how difficult it is going to be.' Di Matteo rates Chelsea's chances of going through as 50-50 but his confidence is buoyed by a team that has kept clean sheets against both Barcelona and Arsenal in the last two outings, Gary Cahill performing admirably as John Terry's partner in the absence of injured David Luiz. 'I always talk about the collective performance that helps us defend as a team and every individual has to do their job within it,' said the coach, 'but I am very pleased with the way our defenders have been playing lately. We have defended very well and we have been impressed with Gary since he joined.'Didier Drogba, who missed the Arsenal match with a knee injury, trained with the rest of the squad on Monday evening. David Luiz, on the comeback trail from his hamstring injury, travelled and did rehabilitation work in the stadium. Sam Hutchinson and Henrique Hilario, though not in the Champions League squad, have not been left behind either and took part in the session. 'I am going to assess the physical and mental state of the players in the final training and make my team selection tomorrow morning,' reported Di Matteo. If playing for a goalless draw would be a risky strategy, so would worrying about picking up yellow cards. Of the fit Chelsea players, Raul Meireles, Ashley Cole, Branislav Ivanovic and Ramires are one booking away from a suspension. 'We cannot be thinking about that in the game tomorrow, the players must be fully focused on their tasks and their responsibilities in the game,' insisted Di Matteo. 'Whatever happens happens, you cannot speculate on bookings.'
