Jawf Governor Amin al Akimi said sleeper cells of Houthi militants and ousted president Ali Abdallah Saleh forces are behind the recent violent incidents in Hazm city.
In statements to the Jawf media center, Akimi said saboteurs who committed such acts do not represent Hamadan tribe which has a long history of struggling for the nation.
This is the first official statement on Wednesday's Hazm incidents where fierce confrontations broke out between the army and armed militias.
The clashes were triggered by militias' attack on army and resistance forces at a Hazm security checkpoint. Casualties were reported on both sides.
