Four Taliban militants were killed while six militants wounded in Afghan army operations since early Friday, the country's Defense Ministry said on Saturday. "Within the last 24 hours, Afghan army conducted several operations across the country, killing four militants and wounding six others besides arresting four armed militants," the ministry said in a statement. The Afghan security forces have recently intensified operations across the country as spring and summer known as the fighting season is drawing near. According to the statement, army specialists found and defused 55 roadside bombs and landmines over the same period time. The Taliban insurgent group fighting the government has yet to make comments.
