Six soldiers were killed and 130 militants killed during separate military operations in past 24 hours, a statement issued Thursday morning by General Zahir Azimi the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense states.

Azimi writes in his statement that the six soldiers embraced martyrdom due to bomb blast and enemy fire. The statement does not specify the location of the enemy actions.

Azimi’s statement adds that 130 militants were also killed and 87 others wounded during separate military operations in past 24 hours, Afghan Khaama Press reported Six suspects were also arrested during these operations, the statement further states.
