Thirteen Taliban insurgents have been killed and 12 others arrested during security operations in the past 24 hours, a statement issued by Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior on Saturday said.
Quoted by Khaama news agency, the statement said one insurgent was wounded during clashes with the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
According to the statement, the operations were conducted in Uruzgan, Zabul, Helmand Ghazni, Herat and Parwan provinces where Afghan National Police was also supported by Afghan National Army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
