Four Palestinians were killed Thursday in tank fires and Israeli air strikes bringing the number of Palestinians martyrs to 230 since July 8, the beginning of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian emergency services.
Thursday at dawn, an air raid on Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, killed one person and injured two others, according to Ashraf al-Qodra, spokesman for emergency services.
In the morning, three Palestinians were killed and four others seriously injured by tank fire on a house in Rafah, in the south of the Palestinian enclave.
The second attack came a few minutes before the entry into force of a five-hour humanitarian truce agreed by Israel and Hamas between 10 a.m. local time (7 GMT) and 3 p.m. (12 GMT).
The temporary cease-fire has been demanded by the UN to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the tiny Palestinian enclave of 362 km2, where 1,800,000 souls live in misery and under Israeli blockade for years.
In addition to the 230 Palestinians killed, 1,682 people were wounded since July 8, according to Palestinian emergency services.
