Taylor Swift attended the ARIA Awards in Sydney, Australia in an ethereal Elie Saab gown this Thursday. Taylor was the most talked-about sartorial success on the red carpet of the Australian Record Industry Association awards, donning a white Grecian-goddessgown that was first seen on the SS2013 runway of Lebanese couturier Elie Saab. With her blunt bangs and minimal accessorising (save some Lorraine Schwartz earrings), it was a distinctly Scandinavian twist on her usual angelic interpretation of high-fashion. The dress, designed by Saab- currently the go-to guy for red carpet glamour- was floor length with a structured panel top and side cut-outs covered in lace. She couldn’t have looked any different from fellow attendee Nicki Minaj, who turned heads in a tropical multicoloured tassel dress. Nor Russell Brand who graced Sydney with his own special brand of greasy hair and ripped jeans (he also carried a bunch of grapes down the red carpet, very fashion-forward). The singer performed her new track ‘Here Comes Trouble’ at the ceremony, tweeting prior to taking the stage: “So excited about performing on the ARIA's tonight! Never been before. Here's comes 'trouble'.... See what I did there? Sorry. I know. Sorry.”
