H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence of the Republic of Singapore, today.
During the meeting, which was held at the ministry's office in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the bilateral relations between the UAE and Singapore and the means to develop and enhance them, especially in the fields of education and culture.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of Ong Ye Kung and stressed that the UAE was keen to develop its relationship with Singapore in the fields of education and training.
Ong Ye emphasised the depth of the bilateral ties between the UAE and Singapore, and the efforts being made by the two countries' leadership to further enhance them. He also praised the high level of education and cultural renaissance witnessed by the UAE, which would expand the horizons of co-operation between the two nations.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education.
