The UAE Embassy in Hanoi has provided material and in-kind support to a charity programme established by the Vietnam Association in Support of Disabled People and Orphans at the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, as part of its constant commitment to charitable activities.
The embassy's participation in the programme entitled, 'A World that Needs to Integrate Persons with Disabilities', is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's foreign aid policy to support social and humanitarian efforts abroad. This latest endeavour by the UAE Embassy also acknowledges the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on 3rd December each year.
The programme aims to encourage people in business and organisations to engage with persons with disabilities, and to integrate them as active members of society.
Khaled Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Shuhail, UAE Ambassador to the Vietnam, saw the distribution of over 200 gift baskets to people of determination, spreading joy and positivity.
Shuhail said that such philanthropic contributions represent the charitable and humanitarian pillars of the UAE, which continues to provide development assistance and humanitarian relief across many countries globally.
