New Delhi - Arab Today

The UAE Embassy in New Delhi has received a number of injured Yemenis and those accompanying them who arrived in India to receive medical treatment at the expense of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC.

The gesture is in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC.

The 88 injured Yemenis, in addition to those accompanying them, were received by the members of the UAE Embassy in New Delhi. The gesture aims to support the injured individuals and alleviate their suffering caused by Houthi militia violations.

Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Banna, UAE Ambassador to India, emphasised the embassy's keenness to carry out the directives of the wise leadership to reflect the UAE's role in easing the suffering of the fraternal Yemeni people.

Al-Banna directed the members of the embassy to continue the provision of medical treatment for the injured and help meet the needs of their companions.
