Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, today held talks with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, who is currently in Moscow.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of developing them to serve their common interests.
Lavrov noted his country's interest in intensifying efforts and cooperation to help stabilise Lebanon.
Hariri stressed the role played by Russia in the region, and wanted a greater economic and political Lebanese-Russian cooperation. He asked Russia's support in completing the Russian weapons supply deal to the Lebanese army, to eliminate Daesh's terrorism.
