President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega has said Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi is ready to hold elections to settle the conflict in his country. Radio Sawa quoted the Nicaraguan President as saying late Wednesday that the Latin American group supports the step which will allow the Libyan people to exercise their right to vote and get the required assurances to end the war.. After a meeting with a Libyan delegation, Ortega called for the halt of NATO air strikes on Libya, adding that the Libyan delegation arrived on Tuesday and conveyed to him a message from Gaddafi.
