The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s President Maria Khoury has received the Russian Federation's Ambassador to Bahrain, Vagif Garaev, praising the bilateral ties in various fields.
Khoury briefed the ambassador on the NIHR's main accomplishments and its role in dealing with challenges. She reaffirmed the Bahrain's special heed to human rights issues since the launch of His Majesty the King's reforms and the establishment of numerous rights institutions and societies resulting in the Kingdom's becoming a leading example of proper human rights practices.
The ambassador welcomed the National Institution's humanitarian work, stressing the need to activate the bilateral cooperation in the field of human rights.
