Occupied Jerusalem - Arab Today

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned that shifting the US embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem would plunge the Middle East peace process, and even the world peace, into an irreparable crisis.

''East Jerusalem is the capital of our state and this capital city is open for the people of divine religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Followers of these faiths have the right to practise their rituals freely,'' he said while speaking at a Christmas Mass at Beit Sahour.

He termed the statement regarding moving the embassy as 'aggressive.'
