His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Safriya Palace newly-appointed Bahrain ambassadors to several brotherly and friendly countries. These include Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Alice Samaan (The United Kingdom), Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa (Egypt), Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri (Geneva-based UN Office and the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna), Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie (Bahrain Permanent Representative to the UN in New York) and Ibrahim Mahmoud Ahmed (Germany). They all took their oath before HM King Hamad. Bahrain Ambassador to Oman Mohammed Saleh Al-Sheikh and his counterparts Dr Hashem Hassan Al-Bash (Russia), Waheed Mubarak Sayyar (Qatar), and Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dosary (Belgium) greeted HM King Hamad and asked for permission to travel. HM the King congratulates the ambassadors, wishing them success in assuming their diplomatic duties. He directed the new ambassadors to consolidate Bahrain's relations with brotherly and friendly relations, in line with the Kingdom's drive to promote ties with these states on the basis of mutual respect and coordination. He also lauded the key role of ambassadors in promoting bilateral relations with all countries, opening up new horizons for more cooperation. HM King Hamad charged the ambassadors to convey his greetings and wishes to the heads of the states where they had been appointed, as well as wishes of further development and prosperity for their peoples. The ambassadors expressed their pride and deep appreciation to HM King Hamad for his royal trust. They hailed HM King Hamad's directives as a catalyst for them to work towards bolstering relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and these countries. The Royal Court Minister, the Foreign Minister and the Royal Court Follow-up Minister attended the oath-taking ceremony.
