The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the success of the Haj season.
ISESCO director-general Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri paid tribute to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for their keenness on pilgrims’ well-being.

He stressed the importance of pilgrimage and highlighted its religious, cultural, social and economic benefits, stressing the crucial role of the fifth pillar of Islam in bringing Muslims together and building bridges between them.

He said that the pan-Islamic organization would continue its project aimed at bolstering cultural communication in the Muslim World by reviving the Haj routes.

Dr. Altwaijri urged universities all over the Islamic World to promote Haj and Umrah academic studies and instill the culture of pilgrimage.

He stressed the importance of transcending disputes, promoting peace, renouncing violence and steering the fifth pillar of Islam away from political strife.
