Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari left in Cairo on Friday, wrapping up a two-day visit to Egypt and talks with the Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa regarding the Arab Summit slated for Baghdad. Moussa discussed with Zebari iraq's request to postpone the arab summit scheduled to open in the iraqi capital , baghdad on May 12 to next march 2012 on condition Iraq preserves its right to host the summit . The arab league agreed on the iraqi request. The postponement was due to the developments raging across some arab countries . It had been reported recently that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has requested the summit be cancelled because of Iraq's support for pro-democracy protesters and its stance against Bahrain's crackdown on demonstrators.
